NOTE: On the podcast, the importance of retesting was not emphasized. Testing is not “once and done”. If you are at-risk and have tested negative for celiac disease, it is important that you are re-tested every few years because celiac can develop at any time. Also, if you have celiac disease and are not responding to a gluten-free diet, retesting can help determine if you are having inadvertent gluten exposure.
