Tender apple slices slow-cooked with cinnamon, honey, coconut sugar, and ghee deliver classic, cozy flavor. Arrowroot gently thickens the juices into a silky sauce. With less added sugar than most slow-cooker or stewed-apple recipes, these are wonderful warm on their own, tucked into a pie or crisp, spooned over yogurt, or blended into a smoothie.
Put the arrowroot and water in the slow cooker and whisk until thoroughly combined. Add the apple slices and stir to coat.
Add the coconut sugar, honey, collagen, and cinnamon; stir to mix well.
Add the ghee, lemon juice, and vanilla. Stir to mix well.
Cover and cook on high for 2 hours. When cooking time is complete, stir and serve.
