A Healthier Congregation Is Better Equipped to Serve

When your people are running on fatigue, chronic illness, and confusion about how to steward the bodies God gave them, their capacity to serve, disciple, and fulfill your church’s mission shrinks with it.

God’s Design for Health Roadmap gives your congregation a practical, Scripture-grounded way to understand their bodies, question the health messages coming at them, and make wiser everyday choices.

Your People Can’t Pour Out What They Don’t Have.

Churches are very good at caring for people when they’re hurting.

The meal trains. The prayer chains. The hospital visits. The counseling. The support when chronic illness turns a family’s life upside down.

But we’re largely missing what happens before a lot of that.

Chronic diseases are the leading causes of death and disability in America, and they’re largely driven by lifestyle.

Yet where are Christians learning to think about those choices through the lens of Scripture?

We teach stewardship of money. Stewardship of time. Stewardship of our gifts.

What about stewardship of the body that makes all of those things possible?

God’s Design for Health Roadmap gives churches a way to fill that gap—not with another diet, health fad, or list of rules, but by teaching people how God designed their bodies to work and giving them the knowledge to make wiser choices before chronic disease makes those choices for them.

“The Church Should Be Ahead of the Curve.”

“Even in the church there has been a great deal of bad advice and bad habits. For example: it makes no sense to claim all of God’s promises of healing while you violate all of God’s laws for health. But there is an answer we can trust.

Finally, here is a book that breaks it down. You can trust it because it is grounded in both good science and—most importantly—in the Word of God.”

—Mario Murillo, Evangelist and Best-Selling Author

Mario wrote those words about God’s Prescription. God’s Design for Health Roadmap takes those principles off the page and brings them into your church.

This Isn’t Another 40-Day Program.

Your congregation doesn’t need another list of foods they’re “allowed” to eat.

They don’t need a challenge that ends in 40 days.

They need better habits based on understanding and supported by the church.

God’s Design for Health Roadmap helps Christians understand how God designed the body to work so they can make better-informed decisions about the health messages, products, treatments, foods, and environmental influences they encounter every day.

117 Scriptures. Hundreds of peer-reviewed references. Practical application.

No individual medical advice. No diagnosis. A flexible diet framework.

A Bible Study Designed to Be Lived

The study follows the 14 chapters of God’s Prescription, which are divided into three parts:

  1. I. What Went Wrong? How the world around us changed—from our food, environment, healthcare, and culture—and how we conformed to the ways of the world.
  2. II. Rooted in Connections How God designed the body with everything connected—from mind, body, and spirit to gut, oral, and brain health—and what happens when those connections aren’t honored.
  3. III. Living Out God’s Prescription How to honor our temples by making better choices about what we can control in, on, and around us.

What participants learn through the Roadmap isn’t meant to stay on the page—or in the weekly meeting.

Participants put what they’re learning into practice while supporting one another through accountability and fellowship—and, whenever possible, breaking bread together.

The first group is just the beginning. I teach the initial group alongside a church leader, equipping that person to lead future groups with ongoing access to the Roadmap materials and video curriculum.

Who’s Behind the Roadmap?

Functional nutritionist, author, and speaker Terri Ward on a boat wearing a blue blazer with her arms crossed

Terri Ward, MS, FNTP, CGP
Functional Nutritionist • Author • Christian Health Educator

Terri Ward has spent more than a decade helping people understand the connections between their everyday choices and their health. With a master’s degree in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine and two nutrition certifications, she brings a deep respect for science to her work and her writing, but science isn’t where her understanding of health begins or ends.

It begins with the belief that God designed the human body with intention and gave us His Word for how to steward it.

Terri wrote God’s Prescription to bring those two worlds together, grounding its 14 chapters in 117 Scriptures and hundreds of peer-reviewed references. God’s Design for Health Roadmap grew from the book as a way to take those principles beyond individual reading and into Christian community—where people can learn, question assumptions, make changes, and support one another in living them out.

“We are wonderfully and fearfully made by God, which means we are complex beings. In God’s Prescription, Terri does a wonderful job of connecting the dots together from God’s word, our current culture, and how He designed our bodies to work. She presents a great balance of information and practical steps towards a healthier life.”

What Others Are Saying

“I know Terri personally, and I can honestly say this incredible, awesome book has been written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

I don’t say that to take away from all that she has studied and poured herself into—only that from beginning to end you can witness the divine inspiration.

Proverbs 4:7 says, ‘Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.’

That’s what Terri has laid before us in her book—saturated with love and care for others to have a healthy lifestyle.

Or as 3 John 2 puts it: ‘Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.’

Well done, Terri.”
